Ketan Patel, CEO, Founder
Previously a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Patel founded the Strategic Group of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Patel was based in London and New York and also worked in Asia, including India and China, providing strategic counsel to the firm’s corporate, investing and government clients across multiple industries. Formerly, Mr. Patel was a partner at KPMG, a member of the Board, a member of the European Strategy Management Team and started his career as an Analyst for Hewlett Packard in London.
Joe Sealy, Founder
Previously a Managing Director in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs. Joe has been a specialist in providing strategic advice to clients covering communications, media, entertainment, advertising and security. Joe has been an experienced strategic advisor to corporations, investors and government institutions across multiple regions and industries. He has previously held the position of Partner at KPMG in strategy consulting and implementation and has also held various positions as an advisor in the public sector, specialising in privatisation and outsourcing.
Akshaya is a Partner and heads the India office of GPC. Previously, Akshaya led Goldman Sach’s infrastructure investment business in India and was part of the senior team managing Goldman Sachs’ US$6.5bn global Infrastructure Fund. Prior to that, Akshaya was an Executive Director in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking team based in London. Akshaya started his career as a strategy consultant in London. Akshaya has an MBA from IIM Bangalore and a B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
Gautier de Limelette
Gautier is a Partner of the firm’s London office. He relocated after 6 years in Mumbai where he co-lead the origination, execution and portfolio management efforts for the firm. His role is now focused on leading the international business development efforts for the firm’s portfolio companies. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division in London. His sector experience includes pharmaceuticals, IT, telecoms, media, and industrials. Other work experience includes Analyst in the Investment Banking and Leverage Finance divisions of UBS Warburg in London. Gautier holds a MBA from the University of Louvain in Belgium.
Gary is Chief Financial Officer of the Firm. Previously, Gary was CFO of Eredene Capital plc, a private equity firm investing in infrastructure and real estate in India. Gary co-founded Eredene, led its IPO as CFO and grew the firm from a start-up to a listed investment fund with more than $150m of assets under management. He has spent more than 15 years in private equity as both an investment principal and as CFO in sectors including technology, infrastructure and renewable energy. Gary qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London.
Xin heads the China office of GPC. Previously, Xin was the head of business development Asia Pacific for GlaxoSmithKline, where she was responsible for business development strategies and opportunities within China, India and other Asian countries. She has originated and executed a number of strategic acquisitions, including the first landmark 100% takeover of a Chinese pharmaceutical group by a foreign multi-national. Prior to that her experience includes leadership positions in corporate M&A, licensing and divestments, strategic planning, marketing and sales with Hoffmann-la Roche, Eli Lilly and Merck KGaA. She holds a Master degree in Molecular Biology with additional qualification in Business Administration from the University of Cologne, Germany, where she won scholarship from Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation for her study.
Shaurya heads the India office of GPC. He is one of the leaders in the firm’s principal investment activities and especially deal origination and senior external relationships. Earlier, he was the co-founder of Zeus Capital, an Indian infrastructure focused investment boutique. Shaurya was formerly a Director with the principal finance business of GE Capital in London. Prior to GE Capital, Shaurya worked with the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in London. He has also worked for over four years with Corporate Finance Advisory at Arthur Andersen in India.
Christian is a senior member of the firm’s Chinese office. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs. His sector experience includes pharmaceuticals, high technology, industrials and financial services. Other work experience includes consulting with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich Germany, corporate finance with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in New York City, and equity research with HVB Group. Christian holds a Master of Law from the University of Augsburg and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Nandan is a senior member of the firm’s Indian office. Previously, he was a Vice President at New Silk Route, an Asia-focused growth capital investment where he was part of the team that established the Mumbai office. His sector experience includes telecommunications, IT and knowledge services, financial services, infrastructure, industrials, and consumer goods. Prior to New Silk Route, Nandan was an Analyst at Warburg Pincus in New York where he worked closely with senior members of the firm on macroeconomic strategy. Nandan started his career as a journalist and macroeconomic consultant and has a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Yurek is an investment professional in the firm’s India office. Yurek has successfully originated and executed investments and actively managed portfolio companies, especially in the technology, digital and services sectors. Yurek holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.
Abhijeet is an investment professional in the firm’s India office. Abhijeet has successfully originated and executed investments and actively managed portfolio companies. Abhijeet previously worked in the Investment Banking team at Barclays in Mumbai, and prior to that at EY, where he worked with clients in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. He holds a BA in Political Science from New York University.
Sainyum is an investment professional at the firm’s India office. Sainyum recently joined from Bain & Co where he worked across various sectors including telecom, financial services, power and industrial goods and services. Sainyum holds a PGDM from IIM Calcutta and B. Tech. and M. Tech. degrees from IIT Bombay.
